Welcome to Porthcothan Bay Holidays.
Below is information for your stay
How to find us
For Sat Navs our postcode is PL28 8PN.
what3words:
Crigg Cottage: pillows.crumples.cabbages
Carnevas Barn/ The Granary/ The Linney: bandstand.shipyards.vessel
There are many routes to our cottages but we think that this one is the best:
Exit the A30 at the Highgate Hill junction. Take the A39 SW towards St Columb Major/ Wadebridge.
Once you have passed St Columb Major on the A39 bypass, take the B3274 (left at Winnards Perch roundabout) towards Padstow.
After approx 3 miles take the left turning onto Trenouth Lane signposted St Merryn.
Continue straight on towards St Merryn when you reach the mini crossroads (Rumford crossroad).
After approx 1 mile there is a large bend to the right (just past St Merryn Holiday Village): you will see a left turn towards Porthcothan Bay.
Take this left and then left again at the next T-junction signposted Newquay. This will bring you onto the B3276 (the coastal road between St Merryn and Newquay).
Continue along the B3276 for just under a mile, then turn right towards Treyarnon. (If you go too far you will end up at Porthcothan Beach - turn around if you do!)
You will see a signpost for the neighbouring campsite at this junction - Carnevas Holiday Park.
Our cottages are just 300yds up this road.
Crigg Cottage is on the roadside on the left, directly opposite the entrance to Carnevas Holiday Park. Carnevas Barn/ The Granary/ The Linney are all part of the same barn - you will see the parking area right outside the barn on the right hand side of the road.

Rules!
Have fun is the number 1 rule!
Boring rules:
Dogs: No dogs upstairs or on beds/sofas out of consideration for other guests. Please pick up after your dog and keep them on a lead around farm animals. Please do not leave dogs home alone unless you trust them.
Loos: Apart from loo roll, absolutely nothing must go down the toilet unless you have eaten it first - we are not on mains drains!
Rubbish: All rubbish must be placed inside a black bin bag before going into the outside bins - no loose rubbish ever- you don’t even want to know why!
Health and safety: Please don’t leave doors and windows open because of flies (we are on a farm).
Kids and excitable adults: Please don’t let kids jump on the beds - they are made from wooden slats not springs.
Utilities: Please keep gas/ water/ electric/ wifi use reasonable - our population rockets in the peak season and utilities can struggle to keep up.
